Spatial Data Science & Machine Learning Certification

I would LOVE to see a spatial data science certificate. It is amazing to me to see so many job postings for data science who don't think GIS is related. I think having a spatial data science certificate would be a great way to show that as a GIS professional, I'm not ignorant of data science principles. It would also be a great way to demonstrate to others that I know how to apply data science principles to GIS workflows.

Hi @B_Brooks, thanks for the suggestion! We will take that into consideration. Spatial data science is certainly an important topic.

The Esri Technical Certification program doesn't offer a spatial data science exam, but you may be interested in Esri's free spatial data science MOOC (massive open online course). It opens on August 28, and Esri provides all the software you need to explore how to integrate location into traditional data science workflows: https://www.esri.com/training/catalog/5d76dcf7e9ccda09bef61294/spatial-data-science%3A-the-new-front... 

If you complete the course, you will earn a certificate (different from an Esri technical certification), and many people choose to share their certificates on social media and sometimes on their résumé.
