I have taken this exam twice, during the first attempt, I was only able to pass one section and I haven't passed any of the sections at all on this second attempt. Either I am not studying the right material for this exam or I'm just not able to remember what I have studied. I would also like to mention that I am slightly on the autistic spectrum and have difficulty remembering.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I can do to pass it on a third attempt.
-Flashcards?
-Pay for tutorials?
-Re-take entire class?
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Alec Kaminski.
Hi @AlecKaminski,
I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this, failing an exam twice is discouraging, especially when you’re genuinely trying. This doesn’t mean you’re incapable or that you don’t belong in GIS.
A lot of people struggle with this exam because it tests application, not memory. Given your memory challenges, try active study methods: simple flashcards with “when/why” questions, hands-on practice where you explain steps out loud, and spaced repetition.
Be kind to yourself. With the right strategy, a third attempt can absolutely be successful.
To pass the EGFF 2024 exam on your third attempt, you need to transition from "reading" to "doing."
It may not make sense to do the entire course again, but courses give you a good recap.

You can use online tools to test your skills including GenAI tools (ChatGPT) for practice.
I hope this helps.
