Hello,

I am using the data migration tools with the Sewer UN Essentials Solution. The workflow is create simple mapping, create migration workspace, apply asset package to Geodatabase.  This process has worked for me in the past, but I decided I wanted to augment the essentials package with subtypes from the expanded UN.

I made changes to the essential asset package using the Create Utility Network Copy Workbook and Apply Utility Network Copy Workbook.  I ran the create migration workspace tool afterwards but the asset package output is empty – the feature classes are present in the UN Feature dataset but migration from source to target did not occur as there aren’t any values in any feature classes.

To resolve the issue I downloaded the latest version of UN, started a new project and did the following:

  • Created new source data to use in workflow with augmented essentials package
  • Ran migration workflow without augmenting the Sewer UN essentials package
  • Used new source data and ran migration workflow without augmenting Sewer UN essentials Asset Package

None of these tests worked, as the asset package output from data migration continues to be empty.

Thanks for any assistance.

The output from Create Migration Workspace is a copy of the asset package with no data, projected and extended based on the Data Loading workbook and a Data Loading Workspace.  You then need to run ArcGIS Pros Load Data using Workspace to load the data from the source to the asset package.
