Tonga Story Map Shares Incredible Before / After Images

On the heels of what can only be described as epic and incredible volcanic activity in the South Pacific region of Tonga, I stumbled onto this map by Robert Waterman of Esri who has put together some of the amazing imagery capture by Maxar. The images span several years, starting back in 2015 when 2 small islands (Hunga Tonga, Hunga Ha'apai were brought together by the forces of nature, only to be violently and abruptly torn apart just last month. When you consider the rapid transformation and the violent strength of the volcanic activity you may just be left speechless!
