Great news for ArcGIS customers seeking up-to-date, high-resolution satellite imagery! Introducing the Content Store for ArcGIS – a seamless, on-demand solution where you can search, discover, purchase, analyze, and share premium commercial imagery directly within the ArcGIS platform. The Content Store for ArcGIS streamlines the process of acquiring and integrating premium commercial imagery data for ArcGIS users. It offers a centralized, user-friendly interface that enables users to discover, purchase, and utilize high-quality satellite imagery from various providers.

Content Store for ArcGIS at the 2025 Federal GIS Conference. Premium commercial imagery in the form of a store... making available data for purchase, search, buy, download and use it immediately in ArcGIS Online (Jack Dangermond)

How it Works

Users can browse and purchase imagery from various commercial providers through a single interface. The imagery can be viewed as a full-resolution map, downloaded, or published as a tiled imagery layer to their ArcGIS organization. The application supports seamless integration with ArcGIS Online, enabling users to manage and utilize the purchased imagery within their GIS projects.

From the official announcement - imagery from Esri’s cornerstone Esri Partner Network (EPN) partner, Maxar, as well as other leading commercial data providers, this ArcGIS app was created jointly by Esri and SkyWatch, a trusted ArcGIS partner and the world’s leading geospatial data platform.

As the Content Store matures, users can expect the resource to be available via more user environments, and the library of imagery provided by Esri Partner content providers will be expanding. At FedGIS 2025, Jack Dangermond was on stage touting the Store and the opportunities for content providers (image below). This presentation by Kate Hess shows how the new Content Store for ArcGIS simplifies adding imagery to GIS workflows, allowing you to browse, order, and publish imagery from multiple commercial providers—all in one place.

There are numerous benefits for users of the Content Store for ArcGIS including:

  • Central, on-demand access
