Currently we have a 10.9.1 UNv5 ESRI Deployment with a partner solution deployed. We are seeking to take our feature data offline (while tracing would be optimal it is not currently available to our Mobile end users). We have approached this is a few different ways
1 - we used our online viewer map (configured in a similar fashion to our editor template) and attempted to take it offline, this failed to replicate.
2- we bypassed subtype group layers and added the features to the map however zoom scales were set at the feature layer level and the map was too cluttered as a result - this did replicate.
3 - we attempted to add individual layers to the map with def queries - this is not supported in replication and resulted in a error when attempting to produce a replica.
4- We used subtype group layers and removed the unnecessary features from the map and symboloized using a single attribute field - this replicated but zoom scales and symbology were lost and did not respect the settings that were observed in Pro.
The Mobile viewer we are using is built on the Runtime SDK
@AlanHope - We have partially solved this problem using AGOL. We have setup a collaboration between Enterprise and AGOL. UN feature from Enterprise syncs with AGOL overnight and we use FieldMaps to allow people to download the maps and that works fine.
Have you tried using FieldMaps with your Enterprise.
We did a POC where we used FieldMaps to connect to our Enterprise via VPN managed out of Microsoft Defender. We found it was quite easy to create offline areas.
Thanks @gis_KIWI4 - We have looked at Field maps and we encounter some of the same limitations, at this time we are seeing that we can either have the data offline with limited control over symbology and zoom scales (which does not meet our users requirements) or we can control the visualization (zoom and symbols) but are unable to replicate. Did syncing the data to AGOL allow you more granular control of symbology and zoom scales? I appreciate you sharing you experience, and I am interested in hearing more 🙂
