Our company shares Transmission data with 7 other transmission companies that intersect our service area.

Last year we received data from one of them and I spent 4 months updating what we had for their locations.  It had not been done in quite a few years.

I literally went through every transmission structure and segment of line.  They also engage heavily in our system one line.

Recently that company reached out and indicated they would like to make this annual.

Does anyone have an suggestions for reviewing the new set of data so as not to have to go through all the date and just address those items that have been added, removed, or significantly changed.

Hi Robert- I just wrote a draft of a customer success story in which the municipality updated the utility's GIS directly via ArcGIS Online, then the utilty automated the process to update their GIS with layers from the muni. Couldn't the transmission companies do the same thing in concept using web services.

Hi Robert, here are a couple suggestions to use for comparing data with ArcGIS Pro:

Feature Compare Tool: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/feature-compare.htm

Table Compare Tool: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/table-compare.htm

General information on data comparison tools within ArcGIS Pro can be found here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/an-overview-of-the-data-comp...
