We are currently working on a project where we want to integrate ArcGIS Online maps into a content management system (CMS). We’re exploring different options and are considering using an iFrame or the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
Could you please share your experiences or best practices for embedding ArcGIS Online maps into a CMS? Specifically:
- What are the pros and cons of using iFrames compared to the Maps SDK for JavaScript in terms of performance, customization, and ease of implementation?
- Are there any potential challenges or limitations we should be aware of when using either approach?
- Is there a recommended method for securely handling authentication or access control when integrating ArcGIS Online into a CMS?
- Or are there any other options beyond these, which would be more suitable?
