For the United States, is the street address resolution the same between Streetmap Premium and ArcGIS Online World Geocoding Service?

Bruce, isn't the world locator be part of the community project? Does the World Geocoding service contains more data contributed by other sources (local) other thank NAVTEQ and TomTom?

Hi

Yes, the World service contains POI and other data as well as street and rooftop layers from major vendors, but in relation to the original question about street addresses in the US, the World service and StreetMap are equivalent.

Where can I find the US address locator for the Streetmap data?

We are using ArcGIS Server 10.1 and have the latest Streetmap dataset and license.

Thanks

Okay, I have found the address locator and have properly installed and registered our StreetMap data.

For clarification, Bruce mentioned that the locators are the same in both the Premium Streetmap data and the World GeoCoding Service.  Does this go for all the US locators, primarily the PointAddress, StreetAddress and the USA composite locator?

Will the locators continue to be the same?

Is there an advantage to using the World GeoCoding Service when you are only geocoding a list of home addresses?

Thanks,
