Hi all,
I came across this problem some time ago, but decided I need a solution now as I am rectifying some raster files to extract and quantify some values.
As I was rectifying the raster (created from some png / jpg files, and converted to grid / img / tif in ArcMap), I noticed that some strange triangles started appearing in the raster. This tends to happen when there are bigger RMS error in the rectification process, but I can't help wondering if these artefacts will end up in the rectified image - thereby affecting the subsequent data extraction and quantification process.
Appreciate any advice on this.
Happy New Year in advance! 🙂
