problems with insertion from excel datas to arcmap 10

Hello,

how I have to create the excel list for insert them in arcmap 10. (I have x-y coordinates, points without attributes)

Every time I have tried, i became the message, that there is missing an objekt-ID and that I will not be able to edit this datas.

Is there someone, who can help me?

If you use Add XY Data in ArcMap without having an ID field in your Excel sheet then you get this message.
Either add an Object-ID field to your data before importing, or export your data after importing.
When you export data to a new featureclass, ArcMap creates a ID field for you in the the new featureclass.

I always use ArcCatalog to convert my Excel data. Right-clicking on the desired Excel worksheet in ArcCatalog and choose Create Feature Class from XY Table. This process creates an ID for you.
