I open ArcCatalog. When I right click on my geodatabase and add New Feature Class and then name it. Click on the Annotation Features in type and the link annotation is grayed out. Why??
Are you using 10.1? If so, then it sounds like you have Desktop Basic, which, can only read annotation it cannot create or edit annotation. Desktop Standard and Advanced can both create and edit geodatabase annotations.
