Hello,

I'm looking for some guidance from some folks who have already transitioned from shapefile/geodatabase to Parcel Fabric. We recently "upgraded" to 10.2. I have found confusing white papers/help topics that have lead me from methods using 10.0, then 10.2, then back to 10.0. I have had issues with Curves and Lines tool, issues with topology, etc.  My parcel maintenance group is ready to move back to 9.3.   Anyone willing to share their experiences or point me to a understandable, current white paper?  Very frustrated here.
Thanks for letting me vent.

There's a very good video on migrating to the parcel fabric from the 2013 ESRI UC here. If you're in the Land Records Meetup group (go to Meetup.com, search for 'ESRI Land Records' or similar), there are also lots of recordings of previous meetings, including at least one good one on data migration. You have to join the group to view them, but it's ESRI sponsored and the folks who work on the fabric run it. Well worth it.
There were some definite changes in the process from 10.0 to 10.1, but mainly in the addition of tools and workflows to make it easier. The biggest problem I've encountered is correcting topological errors in existing data, such as overlaps, to get it ready to migrate. Not hard to do, but there are a lot of errors, takes a while to get through. Helps to work on a few small sample sets for practice first.
