Manually placing unmatched geocode points

I have a rather large table that I ran through a composite locator to geocode.  Most of them were placed.  I have several attributes, however, that are outside of our jurisdiction that need to be placed manually.  I know in 9.3.1, I could highlight the attribute row, click the sketch tool, place a point on the map and the point would automatically be linked to the attribute selected.  In 10, I cannot figure out how to do this.  Selecting a row and placing a point just creates a new, blank entry in the attribute table.

Any suggestions?

Try the steps in KB article 37825 "HowTo: Create valid geometry for a feature with null geometry": http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/37825
