I have been able to create point, line, and polygon data on numerous projects until today. I was able to draw numerous line feature classes in a couple of different geodatabases. I started drawing some line info in a different database and it disappeared but the shape info is reflected in the attributes box. I started drawing a line in another database and it showed for awhile. I switched back and forth between two different line layers in the same database and it was fine. When I finished half of the lines disappeared while the other half were visible. I have tried deleting the feature classes all together, renaming them, changing the symbols, and exiting ArcMap over and over. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

by chance, if the layer has been symbolized at one point, it is likely that symbol/color/etc for no data has not been assigned so you just can't see it.  If the record appears in the table and can't be seen on screen, then that is the first place to visit

Thanks. It was actually a bad msd file. I added data to a new one and it works.

I was going to mention double-checking definition queries and editing templates, but I'm glad you figured it out.
