I am trying to convert a raster file into a polygon using 'raster to polygon' in conversion tools. Unfortunately, this is not working. ArcGIS just returns the following error message:
Error 999999: Error executing function
My raster is a 16-BIT file with a signed integer pixel type, which indicates to me that the data is in integer format as required, however the raster file is large- 2.15GB. I am wondering whether this may be the issue? The conversion always quits at 26%.
The raster file is of topographic land data, however all I require in an output polygon is the shape/outline of the land (i.e. I don't need to retain the high resolution topographic data).
I am relatively new to ArcGIS so any suggestion / help would be much appreciated.
