Is there a way to re-reference Referenced Mosaic Datasets

I have a bunch of referenced mosaic datasets (RMDs), and I want to copy them to another database instance. I can copy them fine from instance1 to instance2 but they are pointing back to instance1. I want them to point to instance2.

Is there a way of updating the reference? In Catalog I can see the .sde file that the reference was originally looking at, but it's readonly.

Is there a way of doing this?

TIA,

Phil

Do you mean update the paths to the mosaic dataset being referenced by the Reference mosaic dataset? Regardless of the type of mosaic dataset, you can update the paths.

No, I don't mean the paths, I mean the actual link (reference) to the mosaic dataset itself. So if the link points to mosaic datasets in instance1, i want to be able to change the link to point to the same mosaic dataset in instance2.

I have the same problem with RMDs 10.0. The only way I have to update the reference is to recreate the refrenced Mosaic Dataset and the function chain in the target Geodatabase after I have copied the base Mosaic Dataset.
