Is SDE 10.1 supported on SQL Server 2008 Web Edition? I know it's supported for Sql Server Standard and Express, but I wasn't sure if there is any loss of functionality/capacity with SQL Server Web. It is way cheaper than SQL Standard on Amazon EC2 (reserved instance).

Thanks, Mike

Sde 10.1 is not tested and certified for sqlserver 2008 Web Edition. Please check the system requirement page:

Hi there,

I see you didn't get any response to your question, but I was wondering if you had tried this and if you could discuss any results???

I've just checked the support RDBMS's, and it says Express, Standard and Enterprise but nothing around Web Edition.

If you have tried and it's working then could you let me know please?  I'm thinking of doing the same thing, for the same reason.

Many thanks,

Scott
