I am new to importing into a geodatabase. The geodatabase has several coded value domains. I am creating a flat file csv that will be imported into the geodatabase. I want to be able to enter the description that is seen when you do an edit on the attribute table with arc not the coded value. When I imported the data the geodatabase didn't appear to enforce any restrictions on the data - did not present any error messages, just accepted the data. How can I learn the correct method and receive notification of data that does not conform to the scheme of the geodatabase?
Hopefully I have explained myself clearly. Example field coded value H description is Hot - I want the file to contain Hot and import into the geodatabase.

Hi Terry,

I did something where all my domains were in a spreadsheet and I used the Table to Domain geoprocessing tool in Model builder, where an Iterator imported the individual domains into my Geodatabase.

Hope this helps.
