I have two personal geodatabases. In one of the geodatabases I have a feature class made up of many polygons. When I try to use the select features tool and the identify tool on all the polygons, it works. When I take this same feature class and copy and paste it into another personal geodatabase, the select features tool and identify tool only work with some of the polygons in the feature class. What is the problem?
This sounds very bizarre to me. What'd happen with the Identify and Select tools when you have this feature class exported rather then copied to the second personal geodatabase? To a newly created personal geodatabase? Does it work as required only in the original geodatabase?
Do you work in ArcGIS 10? What is the version of the personal geodatabases?
Are you creating a new layer from the selected features? How are you specifically going about importing into a feature dataset? ArcObjects? Python? Tools? Models?
