Greetings,

Kindly note the following specifications of the products I`m using:

• ArcMap 9.3

 • MS Access 2007

I have 3 layers in my mxd (ArcMap93) that read their sources from a Personal Geodatabase (access2007). Later on, I set a password to this PGDB for security issues.

Then when I opened the ArcMap, I found that the layers missed their datasources. I tried to set their datasources from that PGDB but I couldn`t connect to it and the following pop-up message shown:

"Failed to connect to database. The user and/or password is invalid. Not a valid password."

Is there a way to set a layer datasource in ArcMap to a PGDB that is encrypted with a password?

Thanks in advance for any try to help or advise....

No, ArcGIS does not support working with password protected  personal geodatabases, please see this KB article:
