How to read .adf files

Hi,
I have a folder that contains file such as dblbnd.adf, hdr.adf, prj.adf, sta.adf,w001001.adf and w001001x.adf files. I browse through some previous postings and found it can be read through ARCView, but in my package I can see only the ARCMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS Administrator. I don't know how to read these files and very new to ARC GIS. Any help will be really appreciable.

You are looking at Arc Grid format rasters. Open ArcCatalog and navigate to the directory above where you are now.
You cannot use the windows file explorer to "view" this sort of stuff.
