Hi,

I am stuck on one issue. We are giving address matching functionality to our uses in the web application. Now, we want to give them the ability to find fuzzy addresses.

e.g. when user types "380 New York St, Redlands". he gets the candidates back. This is fine. Now, if user types "380 New York St, Redl"(not complete Redlands), we want address locator to return the candidates. Rather, it should work with any partial address.

So, how is this possible, can anybody please let me know? Any help is appreciated. We are using address locator address 'US Address - single house' and reference data is point feature class.

Thanks,
Sanjay.

This forum seems very inactive in responses. Is there anybody to help me out?

A couple of things you might try:

Turn the candidate/spelling scores down
Try a Single Field locator; as I recall they tend to be a little more forgiving
Leave your US One Address alone and composite it with a Single Field locator; you should get the best of both worlds then
That should just about do it....
