Hey everyone, I have a polyline file and would like to construct 3 points on each line.

So far I have managed to construct points on the lines using different methods (such as the Construct Points from the Editor toolbar and the Densify tool) but I am not able to find a way to create only 3 points on each line.

PS: the lines are of different lengths.

I am using ArcMap 10.0

Can you specify what SDK you are using by adding tag to the language/API.

This should be done during the creation process, not post processing
