If you publish a map service with several different layers and some of the layers are turned off, when that map service is added to ArcMap the layers honor the display settings. If you turn on feature access service for the same map service, when the feature service is added to the map document all of the layers are turned on and the extent is not honored. Any way to change this so that the feature service honors the original display settings created for the map service?
