I'm having a problem posting a version to Default.  I am getting an error upon Post that tells me the version could not be posted and it "failed in the execution of the ODCIINDEXINSERT routine "Maximum number of grids per feature (8000) exceeded". I have recalculated the spatial indexes for all feature classes in the database.  I have reset the MAXGRIDSPERFEAT from the default of 8000 to 12000 and still receive the same error.

The Operating System for our Server/Client is Windows 2003 Server, Enterprise Edition, Service Pack 2, 32bit/ Windows XP
The version and Service Pack level of ArcGIS is ArcInfo 9.3 SP1
The version and Service Pack level of ArcSDE is ArcSDE 9.3 SP1
The version of RDBMS is Oracle Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.4

Any suggestions to solve my problem would be greatly appreciated!

Did you ever figure this out? I'm getting the same error.

Do you have Archiving enabled on any of the classes that have edits which are being reconciled with Default?
