Embedding .avi or video type files

Hello all,

I am trying to embed an .avi file into my ArcMap 10.1 product. Im able to get a screen shot and import it as a .tif but I would like the whole video file to play for the customer.

1. Is this possible?
2. What format would I have to import the video as?
