Editing Esri Data Model with Geometric Network

I am currently working in ArcCatalog where I've used the X-ray for ArcCatalog to export the xml data from the data model into another file geodatabase for customization purposes. I tried this previously, and after adding a few feature classes, deleting a few, and re-naming a few, I have been unable to import the xml back into the previous geodatabase, or any at all. I get a lack of geometry error. I know it isn't a licensing issue because I've exported xml into geodatabases previously.

I think this is pertaining to the geometric network that is with the data model. Although I change the feature classes to reflect my changes in the domain, I still get this error. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Are you changing any of the data (feature classes/tables) that are part of the Geometric Network that is built? If so, I could see how this may cause an issue due to the underlying GN tables that are hidden.

I would also move this to a better space than GeoNet Help‌. Maybe https://community.esri.com/community/utilities-and-communications?sr=search&searchId=18d47355-3ec1-4...‌ or Geodatabase
