I created a blank Annotation Feature Class and placed text on the map by editing the Annotation Feature Class.  To change the attributes of the annotation I select all and then in the attribute window select all again and change the color and font size.  that works fine.  But now when i want to add more annotation to that feature class it displays with the original color and font size.  Do i have to create another annotation class within the annotation feature class?

I'm a longtime Mapinfo user trying to convert to Arcmap...

Thanks

If I remember right, you should specify the annotation classes either when creating an annotation feature class but you can add new ones afterwards. So, one is supposed to plan a bit ahead and plan what fonts/size will be used.

Thanks for your reply.  After changing the attributes to the annotation, I noticed in Catalogue>Feature Class Properties>Annotation, I can add new symbol then in the Table of Contents>Organize Feature Templates create a new Feature Template for the new symbol.  This way I can continue to add annotation to with the correct symbol style.   This does seem very cumbersome though.
