Digitising Issue

Hi all, I hope this is the right forum..

I�??m having issues while digitising. When I�??m digitising strangely shaped polygons arcmap doesn�??t seem to accept some of vertices and therefore produces highly inaccurate results (Please see attachments.) Has anyone ever had issues like this before?

Check your snapping tolerance (Options in Snapping toolbar). It may be set to high.

I reduced the shapping tolerance to 1 and still the same issue.. 😞

Could you shed a bit of light on the process that you are using to digitize?  In the screenshots I can't tell what tool you are using - Are you digitizing by drawing the ploygon lines & arcs snapped to the line features or using the trace tool?

If you are using the trace tool then that may be the root of your issue.  I hate to say it but while the trace tool is an awesome time saving tool, there are some days where it is just grouchy and you are better off trying again tomorrow. 

If you post back with a little bit more info on the process you are using to digitise it will help flush out a solution.
