I'm studying the differences between Geometric Network and Logical Network.
I found a paper Transportation Networks in ArcGIS: An Alternative to Geometric Networks that said a important thing: "According to Esri, logical networks can be processed 200-10,000 times faster than geometric networks." at this scenario, is better to run away from Geometric Network, but this paper is from 2002 and I don't found any other mention about alternatives of geometric networks at the esri site, so I would to know if anyone had to decide to use Logical Networks instead Geometric Networks and what's points that help to decide to use one instead other.
