Conflicts tool grayed out

Hello,
Three of us have made spatial and table changes to the same feature in our respective named versions.  We saved and reconciled, however, no conflicts appeared and the Conflicts tool is grayed out.  We're in v10.0.  Am I missing a step?  Thanks.

Are you using ArcMAP edit session to edit data. Do you have any third party or custom tool to edit features.

The ArcMap Edit session was the missing tool there. Didn't know I had to be in one.
