Change or update georeferencing of image already loaded into a Mosaic Dataset?

We have a bunch of old scanned maps that we want to load into a mosaic data set (ArcGIS 10.2). Some are already georeferenced and some are not. The ones that are not georeferenced end up being placed at 0x0 in the mosaic data set which is fine as a starting point. I was hoping there was a easy way to go back and change/update the georeferencing to its proper location after the fact. But I do not see any info on how to do this. Anyone know?

David.

David,

For sure, all rasters must be location-aware, before moving into MD. (It is challenging to ??update /change georeferencing of images already loaded in MD??)?

Generally speaking, with ESRI ArcGIS, the ??GeoReferencing?? tool can be easily used to help you, if the numbers of ??a bunch of?? airphotos are very limited, saying, a few of ~  a ten of  ...

For the documentations, please refer to:
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Fundamentals_of_georeferencing_a_raster_da...

http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/automatically_to_another_raster/009t000002...

Personally, be cautious in order to minimize errors, especially, mis-alignments and distortions, when the figures are larger, saying, tens of adjacent images.

Also, pls read the thread at http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/85862-Orthorectification-problems).

In fact, when the quantity is very larger (tens of ~ thousands of), the ??bundle adjustment?? should be used, even not easily (but, more effectively and accurately).
