Hi,
I have loaded a .dwg drawing into ArcMap. We have measured on screen and the drawing is accurate. We have also printed the drawing, measured from paper and it is accurate. However the scale of the original drawing is 1:100 at A1. We need to find out why ArcGIS has multiplied the original scale by 1000.

Thanks in advance
Mark

I believe the acad drawing has it's units set to millimetres and arcgis is using metres. Just my guess.

Hi,
We eventually solved this by using the scale button on the georeferencing toolbar. As the CAD drawing and ArcMap had a difference factor of 1000 we entered 0.001 in the scale box.
