Attribute transfer mapping dialog box won't come up

So I'm working on tutorial 5d and am editing, with the spatial adjustment toolbar up, however when I click attribute transfer mapping in the menu, nothing happens. Have I missed something? thanks

I had the same issue as this with my own shapefile and I added the data into another mxd and the attribute transfer tool opened.

Not sure what's causing it, but this appears to be a workaround!
