ArcSDE on separate servers

Hi I am trying to install ArcSDE on separate servers.
windows server 2008 R2 + Oracle 11G 64 bits
windows server 2008 R2  + Oracle 11G 64 bits (client)
ArcSDE 10  / sp03
and I have a confusion about which procedure should be taken as

to make successful the procedure is necessary required to install the Visual C++ 2008 Sp1 redistributable.
This  already described in help esri for ArcGIS 10.1> Geodata >Oracle  >procedure
