Hi Everyone,
I'm currently running ArcSDE 9.3.1 (SQL 2008) to host data for my ArcIMS 9.3.1 and ArcGIS Server 10 applications. Since ArcMap Server is now history as of version 10 of IMS, I can't make 9.3.1 geodatabases go away for quite some time. I'm looking for some options so that I can make use of ArcSDE 10.
If I upgrade to ArcSDE 10, but do not upgrade the geodatabases that I use to version 10, will this work? I'm not clear if the version of the geodatabase or the actual version of the software is the issue here.
Otherwise, would I have to create a new instance of SQL Server? Would SDE 9.3.1 and 10 run side-by-side on the same server?
I appreciate any advice other users could provide!
