Hello,
ArcScan is greyed out. I think it does not work because my map document is colored. I have tried to change the raster layer symbology to unique values but there is no option to click that. In the layer properties i only have the choice between stretched and RGB Composite.
Is there a way that i can use ArcScan with a colored Map document and how can I do this?

I would be so grateful if someone could help me.

you need the extension to be activated first and yes, i think arcscan takes only binary input.

Extension is activated. Isn't there a way to make this map document a binary one? I read something about making it black and white an it would work 😕

How do i scan it to black and white?
When I click "stretched" (then it looks like black & white) in the layer properties - symbology it does not work.

I read something about "image classification" may this be a way to solve my problem?

I still need help. If someone has an idea I would be glad to read it 😕

Did you have any luck converting the raster? I am in the same situation. Any tips?
