arcgis 10.x and autocad : DWG not updating in ArcGis ?

Hello,

Recently (it's been happening for about a month) when I open an aucocad drawing (DWG) in ArcGis, I see the old polylines that were erased in an older version of the same drawing and replaced with new ones.

When I open that same DWG with an autocad viewer (Autodesk DWG trueview) I only see the new line but with ArcGis I can see both the old and the new line.

What could do that ? Is there anything on my end that I could do to prevent that from happening ?

I've been opening DWGs for a long time and up until recently, it has never happened to me.

I should note that the DWG is being updated in Autocad over and over for the past month under the same name. So it's a "save over" the old version.

Could that explain it? It's really like the drawing keeps the "memory" of the last version.

I don't know if I'm being clear enough but I hope someone will be able to help.

Thank you for your time
