10.1 doesn't work!!!!

Parcel editing is getting very frustrating.  It took forever in 10.0 to figure out what was going on but then after changing to 10.1 parcels won't merge i.e., one of the two parcels is duplicated and the other disappears.  One cannot adjust individual vertices.  And parcel remainder doesn't work at all.  I've put in a lot of time constructing parcels in a parcel fabric without the aid of a straightforward manual or tutorial.  The online tutorials refer to things that don't work or don't exist.  I'm getting ready to tell the boss forget the parcel fabric.  Drawing polygons using topology and annotating by hand worked and took far less time.

Anybody else feel the same?

Never used Parcel Editor myself, but have you tried installing the recent:

"ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) PostgreSQL and Parcel Editing Performance Patch"
http://support.esri.com/en/downloads/patches-servicepacks/view/productid/67/metaid/1941

and of course Service Pack 1 for 10.1:

Thank you.  I've got the sp's in for 10.1 and parcels still disappear when merging and parcel remainder still does not work.  Another problem is that curves sometimes become straight lines.

Hi Robert,

Have you gone through the white paper on loading data into a parcel fabric? You'll want to make sure that you follow these instructions to make sure your data is formatted properly for parcel editing to work correctly.

Best,

Melanie S.
