Marker icon blocks ability to click on feature

When I use search to locate and zoom to an address the marker icon blocks my ability to click on an existing feature at that same location. Is there a way to easily clear the marker?

 I am unable to click on the pink dot because the pin marker is in the way. The only way I have found to remove it is to click on submit report and drop a point. The pin marker goes away.
