Hi, sorry for my bad English, im from Germany.

I need a way to export the Coordinate Systems in PRJ Files direct from ArcGIS without a Shapefile.

We have Shapes with PRJ Files and wanted to compare the exported file from ArcGIS with the PRJ from the Shapes, cause we think thats not the right PRJ.

Can somebody give me help.

In older ArcGIS Versions there was a folder with PRJ Files in it. But in ArcGIS 10.2 Folder i dont find this.

Thanks a lot.

You can also right-click a coordinate system definition in the ArcMap Coordinate Systems "folders" and select Save As to write out a .prj file in the folder of your choice.

In addition, create a new shapefile with the prj that you want to compare to and simply open the "old" and the "new" prj files in a text editor to see if there are any differences.
