Permalink button in community blog posts

In blog posts like Deployment Patterns for Exposing ArcGIS Enterprise Secured Services to External Users (URL source: community notifications), there doesn't seem to be a Permalink option in the Post Options picklist:

That's inconsistent with other community post types, such as ideas and questions, which do have a Permalink button.

I'm aware I can remove part of the URL to get the root page URL: 
https://community.esri.com/t5/implementing-arcgis-blog/deployment-patterns-for-exposing-arcgis-enterprise/bc-p/1483419#M472

But for consistency and convenience, I'm wondering if a Permalink option could be added to the picklist as well.

I can reproduce what you are reporting. You can create a permalink on comments but not on the original posting. It does not look like this is available in our next major update either.
