How do I change the avatar image next to my name?

Changing your avatar is an easy way to personalize your community identity. You can change your avatar as often as you like.

To change your avatar:

Sign in to your community account.
Go to My Settings > Avatars.
Choose a new avatar in one of these ways:
- To use an avatar from the community, click From the Community. Choose an avatar collection from the drop-down menu and click the avatar your want.
- To upload an image, click From the Community and click Upload an Avatar.
- To use an image from your Image Gallery, click From my Albums and click the image you want.
- To use an image from the web, click From the Web and enter the URL for the image. Then, click Set Avatar.

How do I change my username?

If your username is not one you would like to show to the community, you have the option to change your username. Your username will show publicly.

To add or change your username:

Click My Settings at the top of any page, in your avatar dropdown.
Click the Personal tab.
Select Username name.
Update with a name you are comfortable with showing publicly.
Click Change Username.

Note: Usernames must always be unique. If your preferred username is taken by another member then you can use any combination of letters, numbers, underscores or dashes to create your username. The recommended maximum character length for a username is 20 characters total.

How to edit your profile information

You can enter a short biography, your location, your interests, or anything else within the Community Guidelines of being Human, Helpful, and Smart.

To fill out your member profile:

Sign in to your community account.
Go to My Settings > Personal > Personal Information.
Enter information about yourself in the Biography. You can also enter your name, location, company info, and any other information you want to share.
Click Save.

By default, all community members can see this information.

To display your info only to people that you Follow or that Follow you:

Click Preferences > Privacy.
Set show private information in profile to My Follow List only.
Click Save.

How do I upload images to My Photos?

Your profile features a personal image gallery. Upload a photo of yourself and your work to showcase in your personal image gallery. Community members can view your gallery and comment on your images.

Click Upload An Image from your profile page.
Click Add Images, then Choose Files to upload an image. You can upload standard images types: *.png, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.svg, *.ico, *.bmp, *.webp.
After you select your image, you will see a Preview of the image.
Click Select an Album under the image preview. From the Existing Albums drop-down, choose the Public. Click Save.
