Why is spell check suppressed in Chrome?

The native spell checking in text boxes in Chrome does not work here, why is this suppressed?

Thanks for bringing your question to the Community Feedback board. Our platform defaults to browser when it comes to spellchecker in posts. You may want to check your Chrome settings and make sure this feature is turned on. I hope this helps and as always, we're here to help with any additional questions you may have.

Thanks Brianna. You were correct it was my settings, somehow this got turned off despite always being on in the past.
