Hi Claire, Thanks for getting back to me. In response to your points: Using an existing field makes sense and is intuitive enough. Setting a name for a query then using that as a variable is still unclear to me after looking at the report query section, so I think improving that and adding a mention in the feature report section would be very helpful! To be honest, I thought about writing a post for clarification on that help topic as well. I tried to check it out one day and was unable to make any progress. This makes sense, thanks. The existing examples have no context which makes them hard to follow. The help says roadHeading is a variable, but there's nothing to show where/how that variable is set. Similarly, decimalPlaces has no other context other than saying it's a variable Maybe a better distinction between variables (and how they are declared, or what their source is) vs question type specific parameters/functions would be helpful. The reader may not know that you're setting map, number formatting, or image parameters using variables at a quick glance. Hopefully this makes sense? Please let me know if it doesn't!

I'm glad to see this new functionality, however the documentation poses more questions than answers for me. How do you declare a variable? Are "variables" limited to existing fields in the survey? Can you provide more syntax examples? The provided examples in the help document are not very concise, as a reader I have no understanding of what those variables are or where they come from. Are they existing fields in the survey? Or are they declared elsewhere with an expression? Report templates—ArcGIS Survey123 | Documentation

James Tedrick this seems like it should be possible now with variables, can you confirm? I am having trouble getting it working. I have 2 existing fields in my survey: ${remark_date} - date/time question populated by user ${formutcoffset} - calc field in survey which populates the utc offset However, this syntax in my report is not working: ${#remarks}${remark_date | utcOffset: formutcoffset} ${/remarks} I should note that ${remark_date} is in a repeat, and ${f ormutcoffset } is outside of the repeat. I seem to remember that accessing parameters outside of a repeat are not possible, is this true?

I would also find this useful, I have several multi-user workflows that use the inbox and I have to constantly remind people to refresh the inbox every time they go into it. A configurable option for auto-refresh of the inbox would be helpful!

Hi James, Is there any chance this may be an enhancement we would see before the next time change? Thanks, Rob

Hi James Tedrick I'm wondering if there are any updates on this as an enhancement? If there is any possibility of implementing this before DST (November 1st) that would be a huge help to my workflows. My idea below (thought I created this months ago...) Survey123 Feature reports: Calculate utcOffset from attribute

Jeff, Thanks for this update! I think first and foremost we would like to see featuresetby functioning in collector. My specific use case: We have sites where multiple types of inspections take place via survey123. It would be nice to use featuresetby to status each of these inspections in the popup for each site.

Try creating an arcade expression to combine the lat long, then reference that expression instead of the separate lat and long fields

Johnathan Hasthorpe or James Tedrick it it possible yet to display the OID on a form? Specifically, I want to show the OID for records opened via the inbox so I can access it and link to the survey123 site to review existing photos. This would be a form built on an existing HFS. Use Case: A Production survey is used to submit data A QA/QC survey (built on HFS from above survey, with a few additional QA/QC comment fields) is used to review data. I would like to hyperlink to the record in the S123 site to easily view photos (example: https://survey123.arcgis.com/surveys/MySurveyID/data?objectIds=495) Is this possible?
