In Esri Community questions, if there is an accepted solution, then that reply gets duplicated and highlighted in green at the top of the post. I find that design to be a bit cumbersome and is sometimes disorienting when you see the same reply multiple times in the same post. Especially when there are multiple pages of comments.
I think I like other designs I’ve seen better. Such as a link to the accepted answer (Esri posts already have this), instead of a duplicated answer. For example, Oracle Forums:
https://forums.oracle.com/ords/apexds/post/select-polygons-that-intersect-points-9091
Could/should that design be improved?
I totally support the idea of linking to accepted answers instead of duplicating them. It keeps threads cleaner, avoids confusion, and respects the effort of the original contributor. In Esri’s case, where many questions have nuanced GIS solutions, having a single go-to answer improves searchability and saves time for everyone digging through the community.
