Large banner at top

Is there a way to make the banner at the top smaller? On my smaller screen it takes up too much real-estate.  It is really annoying in private messages where there is no way to scroll past it.

This was implemented in our January release  Community Update - January - Esri Community  . Let us know if you have any further feedback on this. Thanks for the suggestion.
