It would be great if you could add a product search or "filter by keyword" box at the top of the Browse Products page. There are currently 7 pages of 15 products each to browse through while looking for a product, and if you're not sure how it's named or categorized, it's tedious to scan through looking for possibilities. The Search box shown in this screenshot returns posts, not products. I just want to filter the list of products by a term, like "Hub."
Thanks!
@HollyTorpey_LSA, you bring up a great point that traditional navigation for products can be a bit challenging since there are so many. The good news is that there is a search option along the lines of what you're asking for, and you can find more information about it here: Tools & Tips: Quickly Find Places, User Groups, and Boards. Hope this helps!
You're right, that Places filter is very helpful. I will definitely use it going forward. Thank you for sharing that information!
However, I think my idea is still valid for all the poor folks who haven't read your Tools & Tips post. I am on the Community all the time and for whatever reason, I never noticed that Places link. Or if I did, it didn't register that Places meant boards/sections/pages/communities and it wasn't obvious to me that I should click on it. Maybe I'm the only dummy who wasn't using it, but I bet I'm not alone.
Instead, the natural workflow for me was to start by clicking the "All Communities" link at the top of the page because I know I want to get to the Product Community page for whichever product I'm struggling with (or whatever you call this page):
But if I don't see the Product I want right there in the menu that pops up when I click on All Communities, I have to click the "All Product Communities" link at the bottom right of that menu.
Then I wind up on that Products page I shared in my original post where I find myself combing through seven pages looking for the product I want to ask about. I bet I'm not the only one!
