Planned for the end of May 2025, Esri Community’s Community Ideas Board will be removed and its content moved or archived depending on each individual post’s relevance. Note that this update only applies to the Community Ideas Board—other ArcGIS Ideas Boards are not being archived or altered as part of this change.

This action aims to consolidate two overlapping resources where Community members are encouraged to share requests for improving the Esri Community platform. The second of these two resources is the Community Feedback Board, where members have historically discussed needs and observations related to platform functionality. The Community Feedback Board will remain and serve as the  location for both feature requests and other relevant feedback that are specific to the Esri Community platform. Pre-existing Community Ideas posts that have been reviewed for relevance will be moved to this location where members may continue to engage with them by contributing kudos and comments.

The way our Esri Community team monitors member posts and how we pursue feature updates for the Esri Community platform are functionally different from Esri product teams’ own best methods for performing similar activities. When taken into consideration alongside member behavior observations and supporting data, we have determined that this different course will promote efficiency without hindering the access members have to communicating Esri Community platform ideas and feedback.
